The Three Rivers Lady Bulldogs varsity volleyball team came away with several wins in the Skidmore tournament the weekend of Sept. 8.

The first game of pool play for the Lady Bulldogs was played against Annapolis Christian Academy. The Lady Bulldogs won the match 25-14, 25-14.

Ashley Geffert, Madison Springs and Maddie Johnson served two aces apiece. Kayla Shipman served one ace. Johnson led the offense with eight kills. Shipman tallied four. Gabbi Escamilla managed three. Geffert and Springs each scored one.

Gabi Hiraldo recorded one solo block. Springs was the top setter with 13 assists, while Escamilla had three. Dani Ramirez led with 10 digs. Geffert totaled seven, Shipman and Escamilla managed four apiece, Springs and Johnson were credited with three apiece, and Kiley Wilson had one.

The Lady Bulldogs dropped the second match to the Beeville Trojanettes 25-23, 19-25, 12-15.

Shipman, Springs and Johnson served one ace apiece. Johnson led with 10 digs, while Shipman and Geffert had three apiece, and Springs, Escamilla and Ramirez tallied two apiece. Hiraldo came away with two solo blocks. Johnson and Escamilla each had one. Springs led with 12 assists. Escamilla added five, while Geffert had one. Springs was the team leader with 14 digs. Ramirez finished with 12. Shipman, Geffert and Escamilla were credited with four each. Johnson and Hiraldo each managed one.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated San Diego 25-18, 25-17 in the final pool play match.

Shipman, Geffert, Escamilla and Ramirez served one ace apiece. Geffert and Johnson led with five kills apiece. Shipman and Springs tallied three apiece, while Escamilla and Ramirez added one each. Hiraldo totaled five solo blocks, and Johnson added two. Springs led with 12 assists, Escamilla tallied three and Johnson added one. Ramirez led with 11 digs. Geffert tallied eight, Shipman totaled six, Springs and Escamilla managed two apiece and Johnson had one.

On Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs began bracket play with a 25-12, 25-10 win against Dilley.

Escamilla led with two aces, while Geffert served one. Johnson led with seven kills. McKenzie Stewart added two, and Geffert, Escamilla and Wilson managed one apiece. Johnson had one solo block in the match. Alexis Lopez had four assists in the match. Escamilla added two, while Johnson and Serena Lopez tallied one apiece. Ramirez led with 11 digs. Escamilla totaled nine, Wilson and Lopez managed four apiece. Johnson added three, while Stewart had one.

The Lady Bulldogs then lost to Skidmore 16-25, 25-23, 4-15.

Johnson and Geffert served two aces apiece, while Escamilla and Ramirez each served one. Shipman and Hiraldo scored three kills apiece, while Geffert and Johnson had two. Johnson and Hiraldo managed three solo blocks apiece. Lopez led with eight assists, while Escamilla had one. Geffert and Ramirez led in digs with 19. Escamilla and Shipman added nine, Johnson tallied eight, while Lopez had four.

The Lady Bulldogs finished the tournament with an 18-25, 25-27 defeat against San Diego.

Lopez served three aces in the match, while Geffert and Johnson had one apiece. Johnson and Hiraldo tied with six kills apiece. Shipman added three. Geffert and Escamilla tallied one apiece. Hiraldo finished with three solo blocks. Lopez led with 11 assists. Escamilla had three, and Shipman added one. Escamilla led with 14 digs. Lopez added 13, Ramirez totaled 11, Shipman added nine, Geffert managed eight, and Johnson finished with four. The loss gave the Lady Bulldogs fourth place in the tournament.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Runge 25-8, 25-19, 25-23 Sept. 5.

Shipman, Escamilla and Ramirez served one ace apiece. Johnson posted nine kills. Geffert and Springs tallied five kills apiece, Shipman added four, Hiraldo managed three, and Escamilla had one. Hiraldo had one solo block. Springs was the top setter with 17 assists. Escamilla added three, while Shipman and Ramirez had one apiece. Shipman led with nine digs. Ramirez had eight, Geffert tallied six, Springs and Escamilla managed five apiece, and Johnson had one.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Banquete Friday by a score of 25-21, 25-11, 25-18.

Shipman served four aces. Johnson, Ramirez and Alexis Lopez served one each. Johnson led with nine kills. Geffert totaled seven, Shipman tallied five, Escamilla managed four, Hiraldo added three and Ramirez had one. Johnson finished with three solo blocks, while Hiraldo added one.
