ENUMCLAW BOYS
The Hornets played once, earning a victory, during the two weeks of winter break. The 63-49 nonleague victory over Fort Vancouver allowed Enumclaw to improve to 4-5 for the season, which includes a 2-3 mark in North Puget Sound League 4A play.
The latest win came courtesy of a long road trip to Clark County where Fort Vancouver hosted a one-day holiday tourney.
The Enumclaw boys take on a pair of league foes next week. Things start Dec. 8 with a trip to Todd Beamer High; two nights later the Hornets return home to square off against the Auburn Mountainview Lions. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
ENUMCLAW GIRLS
The Hornet girls took on a nonleague opponent Dec. 27, falling 46-37 to the Fife Trojans. The road loss dropped Enumclaw to 2-7 for the season, which includes a 2-3 record in North Puget Sound League 4A play.
Another nonleague tilt is set for Friday when the Enumclaw girls host the Kent-Meridian Royals. It’s a rare afternoon contest, with tipoff set for 2 p.m. in Chuck Smith Gym.
