Enumclaw High coasted through a Saturday night contest at Federal Way Memorial Field, crushing the Decatur Gators 56-9.
The game marked another offensive explosion for the Hornets, who have now scored 146 points. The early part of the season also included a 41-21 victory over White River and a 49-0 whitewash of Auburn Mountainview.
Things didn’t start particularly well for the Hornets, who fumbled on the game’s first play, lost possession and saw Decatur turn the miscue into a short TD drive. But it was all EHS from that point.
It was a highlight-reel game for Bryson Engebretsen, who had a school-record 97-yard interception return for a touchdown. To close out the first half, he went 70 yards with a TD reception.
