Ben Hauswirth, a junior at EHS, soared to new heights by qualifying for the State Championships early in the season at last Saturday’s 11-dive meet at Lakes High School. Ben placed first amid strong competition from 26 divers representing 3A and 4A schools from all over the region. His winning score of 403.80 not only qualified him for States but also set a new school record. According to his coach he has been working on harder dives recently and tried 4 new difficult dives for the first time in a meet. The risk paid off and Ben may be submitting the recording of the meet for All-American consideration. Congratulations ,Ben!
