HORNET WATER POLO COMES FROM BEHIND TO BEAT AUBURN

Hornet Water Polo comes from behind to beat Auburn

The Enumclaw High School Boys Water Polo Team came from three goals down to beat Auburn 9-8 on Thursday, October 8 in a league game.



The Hornets trailed Auburn throughout the game, and the Trojans held an 8-5 advantage through most of the final quarter. Kyle Morgan narrowed the lead with 3:06 in the game, and Nathan March brought the Hornets within a goal at2:16. Morgan scored again to tie the game with 27 seconds left, and March finished off the Trojans with a goal with six seconds remaining.



The Hornets were led by March's four goals. Morgan scored three, and senior Evan O'Neill added two. Junior goalkeeper Brett Butler tallied 13 saves.



For Auburn, Ben Schwab and John Villandry score three each, and John McHugh scored two.



The Hornets travel to Gig Harbor on Friday for a non-league contest, and return to league play next Tuesday when the travel to Linbergh High School to face league-leading Kentridge.
