SPSL Sub-District Championships, Ft. Steilacoom Park, Tacoma

Enumclaw Meet Highlights:

·       The Enumclaw girls win The SPSL Sub-District Meet Title to stake sole claim to the League Championship over a very strong and well-coached Peninsula squad. The final score was tied at 70 to 70, but our 6^th runner placed higher than theirs resulting in the win going to the Hornets.

·       Hunter Storm runs to a 4^th place overall finish in a time of 19:20.50

·       Samantha Engebretsen crosses the line in 9^th place with a time of 20:04.30

·       Aleea Gwerder posts a strong time of 20:30.50, placing her 14^th overall among the Varsity Girls.

·       Shelby Walker and Payton Roberson both clocked times under the 21-minute mark, helping secure the win for the hornets.

·       Emmie Neu battled for the entire race and her efforts placed her in front of the 6^th runner from Peninsula by about 15 seconds securing the win for the team. In Cross Country every racer counts. Great Job Emmie!

·       Bryn Zeman-Witzel continues to run strong, posting a 3^rd best career mark at Ft. Steilacoom.

·       Chayce Weiman ran a solid race in the girls JV classification of grab the alternate spot for the remainder of the post season.

·       The Boys XC team place 4^th overall in the SPSL Sub-District meet, advancing the team to the Westside Classic next weekend at American Lake Golf Course.

·       Eric Hamel places 4^th overall for the SPSL boys with a time of 16:28.10

·       Teagan Eldridge runs to a 7^th place finish in an excellent time of 16:35.30

·       Bryce Johnson places inside the top 20 with a season best time closing in on the 17-minute barrier.

·       Alec Ritter crosses the line in a strong time of 17:32.40, which is also a season best mark.
