Enumclaw High sent five competitors, two in individual events and a pair of relay teams, to the Nov. 9-10 state swim and dive championships.

The meet was staged at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Placing 15th in the Class 4A field was Enumclaw’s 200-yard medley relay team of Margaret Petellin, Elise Pratt, Anna Bogh and Ryley Pilato. Two weeks earlier, at the district meet, that foursome shattered a school record that had stood for three decades. At the state meet, they clocked a time of 1 minute, 54.37 seconds in the preliminaries and 1:55.69 in the finals.

Enumclaw’s 400-yard freestyle relay team posted the 20th-best time during Friday’s prelims. Coming in at 3:50.91 were Pratt, Jessica Lee, Petellin and Bogh.

Pratt had competed in both the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. In the IM, she swam a preliminary time of 2:20.87 and did not advance to Saturday’s finals. In the breaststroke, Pratt posted the No. 9 time of 1:07.56 in Friday’s prelims and followed Saturday with a time of 1:07.72 in the finals, placing 13th.
