Kayleigh Spears ran a 21:19 Saturday to pace the Tahlequah Lady Tigers in 5K cross country action at the Missouri Southern University Stampede.
Spears placed 112th overall individually out of over 600 runners. Tahlequah was 34th in the final team standings with 877 points.
Charlsie Whittmore followed Spears with a time of 21:44 and was 140th, and Camille Lear was 209th at 22:47.
Jenny Medellin finished 236th, running a 23:15, Rachel Geasland was 275th with a 24:17, Odallis Medellin was 293rd with a time of 24:39, and Neida Aquilar was 301st with a 24:51.
The Class 5A, 10th-ranked Lady Tigers were coming off a ninth place finish in Broken Arrow on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Tahlequah, which ended with 231 points, was led by Whittmore's 21:53, which was good for a 21st overall individual finish.
Jennifer Medellin and Lear finished 43rd and 44th by a difference of one second. Medellin ran a 23:08, and Lear ended at 23:09. Geasland was 55th in the individual standings and ran a 23:38, and Aguilar was 68th with a time of 24:28.
In boys action at Broken Arrow, the Tigers placed 10th in the team standings with 235 points.
Tahlequah was led by Joshua Dick's sixth-place individual finish. Dick ran a 16:45 and was 10 seconds back of Bartlesville's James Martinez.
