The Tigers are 53-9 since forming last fall, having finished second a week earlier at the 10AAA state tournament.
At the Muskogee tournament, the Tigers fell in the championship game to a 10 Major team they beat earlier in the event.
At the state tournament, the Tigers bounced back after losing their first game to win three consecutive games to make the finals.
That included a 7-5 win over the Midwest Elite on a walk-off home run by Beckett Robinson.
The Tigers were started by Andy King, Jason Girdner and other parents, who decided to build a team with kids from the Tahlequah area with the goal of building a Major division team within three years.
The team began playing in the Muskogee Fall Ball League last year, going 17-0 in that league and a pair of tournaments.
The team started the spring season as a 10A team and reeled off 17 more wins in a row and four tournament victories to start the 2017 season.
By mid-April, the team was promoted to AA and less than a week later moved up to AAA without ever having played a AA tournament.
The team won a handful of tournaments this year—Frozen Frenzy USSSA 10AA, Meltdown in March USSSA 10A, March NIT II USSSA 10A, Oklahoma Elite Series Champions in Muskogee, Striking Out Cancer for Marie USSSA 10AA, Global Madness Champions USSSA 10 Open, Oklahoma Elite Series Champions in Checotah.
Eight of the players live in Cherokee County with two living just over the county line in Adair County.
